Dnes je tomu ¼ století, kdy proběhl dle mého názoru nejlepší multikoncert, jaký kdy byl zorganizován. Jeho organizaci měli pod palcem pánové Bob Geldof a Midge Ure a finanční výtěžek byl určen pro suchem hladovějící Etiopii. Koncert začal úderem 12.hodiny ve Wembley v Londýně a pokračoval ve Philadelphii. Koncert vcelku dobře mapuje čtyř DVD, které vyšlo v roce 2004. Škoda, že toto DVD není kompletním záznamem koncertu. Výborní tehdy byly Queen, U2, David Bowie, Elton John, zajímavé bylo např. společné vystoupení Micka Jaggera s Tinou Turner, Stinga s Dire Straits, nebo Philem Collinsem. Ten pak doprovázel na bicí ve Philadelphii Led Zeppelin, nebo Erica Claptona. Co mě tenkrát zklamalo, že koncert vynechal Michael Jackson. Díky německé TV jsme měli možnost koncert vidět a řada vystupujících byla pro mě tenkrát úplně neznámá.
